Bespoke Paroc and Rodeca Wall Cladding with Standing Seam SF500 Roof for Energy from Waste Facility

SCF were responsible for the design, procurement and site management of the External Wall Cladding, Secret Fix Roof System, Internal Firewalls and Internal Dust Walls to the Edinburgh Millerhill RERC. The bespoke cladding substrates and heavily engineered support structure presented a huge challenge in order to meet thermal, acoustic and aesthetic constraints. However the finished product is a very neat installation to a high quality standard.

The building required a bespoke wall cladding solution. This was developed with the use of a Euroclad 19/1000 Liner Profile which provided internal continuity. A bespoke engineered subframe was introduced to support the Paroc Panels to meet the aesthetic requirements. The Rodeca posed more of a challenge due to the Fire Performance Implications and therefore this became a triple skin construction whereby a Euroclad trapezoidal wall system was overclad in Rodeca, this allowed us to isolate the Rodeca to the external envelope and protect the internal works. Fire Barriers were included within the cavity to the face of the trapezoidal cladding in order to give surity of fire performance.
